Eurodime led an international industrial transfer project, assisting a client with the dismantling, transport and complete reassembly of a compost production line from Hamburg (Germany) to Belfast (Northern Ireland).
The main challenge? The client was the product manufacturer, but had no experience in industrial assembly. Our teams therefore had to take charge of all operations, demonstrating considerable technical autonomy and a strong ability to adapt to a sector that was still unfamiliar to us.

Discovery / Rewarding / Technical expertise
Three words about the project – Mr Raynald Bourion, co-manager
The expertise of the Eurodime Group
This project drew on several complementary areas of expertise:
- Technical analysis on site in Hamburg to plan dismantling without assistance from the customer’s technical department.
- Packaging, logistics and international transport, including customs coordination and organisation of heavy equipment.
- Complete reassembly in Belfast, in a new environment, adapting our methods to the product and local specificities.
This mission demonstrates our ability to manage a project in its entirety, even without external technical support.
A project with high human and technical value
The challenges were as much human as they were logistical:
- The customer, inexperienced in this type of project, relied entirely on our expertise.
- No technical assistance was available from the manufacturer: each stage was planned and executed by us.
- Transport between two countries, with its constraints in terms of deadlines, packaging and reinstallation, required flawless organisation.
This project was a rewarding experience for our teams, where the discovery of a new type of product enriched our field of expertise. It also reinforced the versatility and adaptability that are our strengths.
Conclusion
The transfer of this potting soil production line from Hamburg to Belfast demonstrates Eurodime’s expertise in international industrial logistics, even in unfamiliar technical contexts.
Thanks to complete autonomy, organisational rigour and a strong team spirit, we successfully completed this project, while demonstrating our ability to support our clients across borders. This project was rich in discovery, technical expertise and human relations, opening up new perspectives for the group.
